Berkeley, CA - Santa Cruz, CA - Sonoma County, CA - Boulder, CO This 8-week course teaches the core concepts of holistic nutrition and culinary arts. Students will leave the course with a firm understanding of the foundations of nutrition and how to make changes in their lifestyle for optimal wellness. Course curriculum is based on the principles of the Eating For Health™ model. This system was developed by Dr. Ed Bauman and emphasizes the use of whole, nutrient-dense foods for prevention of disease and recovery from illness. It has a non-dogmatic approach that recognizes the bioindividuality in all of us and acknowledges that one size does not fit all; our nutritive needs are all different and can even change during our lives. Each class is divided into a practical lecture on the foundations of nutrition, a cooking demonstration with food tasting and recipes, and an informative and directional group discussion. Students will leave empowered with the knowledge and specific tools necessary to make lasting changes to physical condition and longevity through daily diet and lifestyle decisions. Learn to manage food addictions, cravings, and lifelong poor health habits to find the best well-being for you and those you love. Registration Information Cost: The 8-week series of classes costs $545 and includes all course materials. Each student receives The Nutrition Essentials for Everyone™ workbook, which includes all class recipes. Schedules Classes begin in February and April of 2012 and are held at all Bauman College locations once a week, in the evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, for 8 weeks. Board of Registered Nursing Bauman College is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #11401. Completion of Nutrition Essentials for Everyone™ will provide RNs with 21 CEUs. Registration: Cancellation/Refund Policy:
For program cancellations up to 3 business days before the first day of class, registrants will receive a complete refund. For program cancellations within 3 business days of the first day of class, registrants will be subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee. For program cancellations after the first or second day of class, registrants will be subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee plus the cost of each class, whether they have attended or not. The remainder of the tuition will be pro-rated to refund the registrant the amount of classes remaining. |
