Rethink Your Drink
educational series in Santa Rosa Classrooms   March 1st-March 5th, 2010

In partnership with the Network for a Healthy California and the Santa Rosa City School District, Bauman College will lead a team of Nutrition Educators into Elsie Allen High School classrooms to give nutrition presentations on Rethink Your Drink. Favorite props include a 6 lb bag of fat (affectionately termed the "soda fat baby"). We look forward to educating our youth on the detriments of unhealthy sugar consumption.

Making the decision to attend Bauman College was one of the best I ever made! The curriculum was well rounded and giving reports in front of my instructors and fellow students really helped me to develop the public speaking skills I needed.

Bauman College gave me knowledge and confidence to bring the awareness of healthy eating and lifestyle changes to clients really needing help with specific health issues.

One of the things I learned was that the most intimate connection we have with nature is through the foods we eat! Having been trained as a chef, I cooked for many years without really contemplating the saying, "you are what you eat". After studying at Bauman College, I clearly understand that now. The path to vibrant health is through what we eat!

I have a private business where I provide nutrition consultation and personal chef services. I do private consultation, group workshops, therapeutic cooking, and free public talks on health topics. I also instruct at Bauman College Berkeley in the Natural Chef Program. I like every aspect of my work; everything is interrelated and I am in a constant flow of giving and learning.
