Attending Bauman College was one of the best decisions I have made. I researched my education options for nearly a year before deciding on the distance learning Nutrition Educator program. I initially started the program to benefit my family. I am a homeschooling mother of four young children, two of which have food issues. I knew the value of eating organically, but was confused by all the popular diet and nutrition books on the market. Bauman’s program was straightforward, research-based, and comprehensive. It was non-dogmatic and gave me real skills and information I could apply to our lives, such as how to eat healthy on a budget. I chose the distance learning option because it fit our lifestyle. I was able to complete the program in eleven months at my own pace. I loved the forums and felt they really contributed to my understanding of the material. They also challenged me by showing me new perspectives. After volunteering for five years as a breastfeeding counselor, I was inspired to become a board-certified lactation consultant because of my success at Bauman. Using the practical business skills I learned in the Nutrition Educator program, I now have my own business as a holistic lactation consultant. I am also teaming up with Nutrition Consultants from Bauman to offer prenatal nutrition classes. Thanks to Bauman, I now have a career where I really can make a difference. |
