I can relate...I just recently torn a ligament in my wrist. Really sucks, cause I need it to cook...
Here is what I'm doing...
Proteolytic enzymes: Help break down the damaged and scared tissue and assists in rebuilding new tissue...find it in Pineapple, papaya, kiwi...
Vitamin C: important compound for the rebuilding of the cellular matrix of connective tissue. Best form: supplement with Camu Camu, Acerola, or other natural source C, don't forget your bioflavinoids.
Egg shell powder: best source of bioavailable calcium and associated minerals and hormones for rebuilding bones and connective tissue. I bake and grind my own from pastured chickens. add to pills or other blended foods.
Vitamineral Greens: Super rich in phyto-nutrients, minerals and chlorophyll for overall system health and function.
Mineral Broths: Bone and skin included with loads of veggies makes for an excellent form of soothing and easily absorbable form of minerals. Plus the collagen in the bones and skin in liquid form is very important for rebuilding your own (tendons are made of 86% collagen)
Fresh foods and anti-inflammatory foods: some of the best include: cayenne, cinnamon, turmeric, clove, ginger, green veggies, berries, sprouts, alliums (garlic, etc...)
Accupuncture: Helps relieve pain, Relaxes local muscles and increases blood flow to the area, all important for healing.
Hot/cold baths: Make two baths, one with cold ice water and one with hot water infused with Comfrey leaf and root (excellent cell re-generator). Finish with cold water...
Castor oil pack: soak an undyed cloth soaked in castor oil on the area and wrap in plastic, keep warm for a few hours (works best when you do it overnight.
