Codex: how worried should i be?

 Dearest community this is my first post so be gentle,

I was in europe in 2008 and heard about codex alementarius and healthfreedomusa.org and became very alarmed by the ideas suggested by both codex's site www.codexalimentarius.net/
 and those of the other less credible site i mentioned.

is this all propaganda, or is codex something to be concerned about?
