I will be getting all my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow morning and I will be in severe pain. I know the oral surgeon is going to prescribe me pain meds, which will take away the pain, but will also put my body under a lot of stress. Does anybody know of any at home remedy's for pain removal and fast recovery? Also, I would like to try to keep eating healthy and not have to settle for pudding and milkshakes. Any yummy liquid-like recipes you know of??? Thanks  Cheesy

Body-Mend homeopathic helped me with an extraction just fine. Cold and warm compresses help as with most injuries of this type. Clove oil numbs the area nicely for any tooth pain.

As for eating after oral surgery, I use a blender to puree everything: smoothies, soups, stews, salads, etc.  Whatever you normally eat, just blend and sip and swirl to coat with saliva. Do not use a straw for the first few days because that can undo stitches, I am told.

On the oral surgery, make sure that they do the surgery correctly to prevent cavitations (http://www.wholebodymed.com/library_education_details.php?pid=10).

Good luck!

this is late, but for future, arnica homeopathic tablets are great for minimizing bruising, decreasing pain, can be taken prior to surgery, and for a day or two after.
