Blood and mucus in stool

So I have a client who has persistent mucus and blood in her stool (and even when she strains during pee it still happens) She has done parasite testing and only found potential protozoa, rounds of parasite cleanses, food sensitivity test, clean diet, supplements, blood panel etc. You name it we have probably tried it... but that's why I am asking.. any thoughts? Does anyone know a parasite specialist in Colorado?

She also had a weird phenomenon happen... when she was traveling a few years ago to Guatemala, she ate and drank whatever she wanted and the symptoms completely vanished.

Since doing the food sensitivity test her bloating and other symptoms are gone, but the blood and mucus are still present.

Hemorrhoids or anal fissure could also cause blood in stool.

I don't know about mucus. You did not mention in your text whether they examined for hemorrhoids or anal fissure so I was just providing an idea. There can be multiple causes for the blood or the mucus.
