Hello,
This idea may be useful for those who enjoy tofu regularly but are running out of ways to really add flavor to it!
Dissolve 1 bouillon cube in boiling hot water (about 1/4 cup or even less) and add pieces of tofu to the mixture. I use about 400 grams (1 block) of tofu.
Marinate overnight or for however long you have. The intense flavor in bouillon cubes really seeps into the tofu, plus its a quick process as you don't have to add the all the marinade ingredients individually, they are all packed into the cubes!
In Canada I buy Harvest Sun Organic Bouillon Cubes in mushroom flavor, but there are many other great kinds available. I bake the tofu until its crispy and roast a few cloves of garlic along with it.
Enjoy!

 Smiley Hi Danielle,
Thanks so much for the recipe. I'm always looking for new ways to use tofu.

If you freeze your tofu, thaw, squeeze out all the water and THEN marinate, it will absorb the marinade more thoroughly. Getting out all that water really makes a huge difference in the texture...and makes a much more desirable consistency for the "tofu phobic" people in our lives!
