A friend of mine has been recommending New Chapter supplements, particularly their calcium. She claims that they are better than ordinary supplements, because they are more readily absorbed.

Does anyone have experience with New Chapter supplements, and if so, are their claims true?

The following is from New Chapter's marketing materials:

We at New Chapter provide you an organic probiotic alternative to isolated or USP vitamins and minerals. All of our vitamins and minerals are cultured in organic soy using nature's most prized and studied probiotics, featuring Lactobacilli acidophilus, bifidus, rhamnosus, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. New Chapter's Probiotic Nutrients deliver biotransformed vitamins and minerals in their finest cultured form, much in the same way as miso, kefir, temphe, and yogurt. Your New Chapter nutrients:

* Are easy to digest, even on an empty stomach-they're cultured whole food!
* Deliver essential nutrients in their safest and most active form within the infinite complexity of whole food.
* Provide an energizing and protective array of phytonutrients and ferment metabolites, including cultured soy isoflavones, beta glucans, bacteriocins, SOD, glutathione, lipoic acid, and enzymes.

Every Woman's Mineral Complex delivers 12 different easily digested and highly active probiotic minerals as well as 9 free-radical scavenging herbs cultured for maximum effectiveness. Herbs like cinnamon, oregano, and rosemary provide key health benefits that support and sustain.* The addition of supercritical ginger and turmeric extracts maximizes bioavailability and efficacy.*

I have been to a few of their trainings, and have been familiar with New Chapter, working with supplements in the Natural Food Industry for over 10 years, and I think that they are a pretty reliable company. I know they have alot of research on their website that the publish for free which is good, and being a food based mostly organic supplement brand I believe is also a good thing.

One of thier claims is that with their supplements, they are so easy to digest that they break down quicker, and in water, unlike most pharmaceutical grade supplements...the fact that they use probiotics in thier supplements illustrates the fact that not all vitamins/supplements even break down in your body for absorbtion.. (or shall I rephrase, do other vits/supplement companies even care that the vitamin breaks down and absorbs in your system?) so it is nice that is a main focus within their company...
that is just my opinion! Try them for yourself, that is the best way to find out if they work for you!!

I have also attended their trainings and regularly take their supplements. I specifically like the fact that they are food grown and you can take them on an empty stomach. If you are sensitive to high amounts of B vitamins which are typically in multiples then this would be the brand for you. Their B complexes don't make me nauseus or extra hungry like other brands and I feel they work more efficiently.
