Are you a healthy foodie and looking for a great spot in Berkeley, this is it!
Single bedroom for rent in a two bedroom/one bathroom duplex for $750 per month (not including utilities and wireless, these are all about $20 additional)

About the Place:
A bright, quiet, comfortable open space for your living, cooking and gardening pleasure. Two bedroom, one bathroom in a 2 unit house. (we have the bottom floor and all the backyard) All new wood floors recently put in. We’ve kept the furnishings quite simple but comfortable (there is space for your furnishings if you like). The kitchen is large, open and fully equipped, including a dishwasher, gas stove and washer and dryer, and it has lots of space for your items. The bathroom is clean—all white tile and a deep claw tub. Your room is the bigger of the two (9x11.5) which includes hardwood floors and a large closet. The backyard is like a quiet retreat, it has a low deck and patio areas surrounded by small gardening plots (it makes the outside feel like part of the living room, especially when the hammock is out).

About the Location:
2078 Emerson St
Berkeley, CA 94703

The house is near the corner of Shattuck and Emerson streets, which makes it close to all of your commercial needs (within 2 blocks there are a few cafes, gas stations, hardware store, printer/mailbox, computer repair, the famous Berkeley Bowl Market Place, Whole Foods Market Place). The best part is the access to public transportation. (Ashby BART station is 3 blocks away, 20 minutes to downtown SF, and the bus line #18 stops one block away, 5 minutes to downtown Berkeley). I ride my bike everywhere, but if you have a vehicle, there is plenty of parking on the street. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, around 20-minute walk to campus, so no loud UCB students or fraternities. If you plan on attending Bauman College, its a 10 minute bike ride!

About your roommate:
Male, 28, single, quiet, no pets, kids, smoking, drinking, or drugs. I’m a professional Natural Chef, I work in a variety of settings to teach about and bring healthy food to peoples’ plates. I enjoy many outdoor activities such as climbing, biking, camping, hiking, snowboarding. I appreciate all kinds of music, I enjoy cooking (even for you and friends). I keep a clean house, though I would appreciate some help. I’m quite easygoing, and I enjoy both quiet times and socializing.

About you:
A responsible student or professional. No pets, no drugs, smoking only outside. Enjoys helping keep our house clean and comfortable. Would be looking to rent for six month or longer.

Call for more details or set up a time to come by to check out the place

Hello! I am contacting you because I loved your post! Sounds like the perfect place for me Smiley I currently live in a small town in Southern California, and I am planning on starting the Natural Chef program in Spring '09 and would like to relocate up north in the beginning of March '09. (Yes, I know I am planning way early) If the room should become available again in the spring, it would be great if you would keep me in mind. I would love to meet you and possibly rent the room for a minimum of 6 mo., possibly more if things go well in Berkley...

Keep me posted and good luck with your new roomie!
