Ed Bauman and Karen Rotstein, our Operations Manager, have just left for the summer Vitality Fasting Retreat. They are gathered with 34 other participants at Stillheart retreat center to enjoy the week-long fast. While there, participants will enjoy fresh fruit and vegetable juices as well mineral rich broth. Acupuncture, yoga, massage, facials, art, movement as well as swimming and hiking round out the program.
Bauman College runs the fasting retreat twice yearly. You can read more about the fasting retreat on the "Retreat" page of our website. 2007 spring and summer dates and registration information will be added this winter.
Our Vitality Fasting Retreat fills quickly so if 2007 is the year for you to embark upon this lifechanging adventure, make sure to register a few months before to secure your space.

Hi there! I was wondering if Bauman students receive a discount on the week long retreats?? It sounds amazing! Thanks for your time!

Yes, it is an amazing event. The wonderful organic juices, classes and activities allow guests to rejuvenate, learn and have a whole lot of fun. We do not have a special price for students, as we try to price it to all at an affordable amount. Sometimes we can use some help and can arrange a small work exchange, so it never hurts to ask. If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me. I hope to see you there!

Hi....
I am interested in the Bauman Vitality Fasting Retreat in May and saw this posting....I am a NE student in Santa Cruz, and was wondering if you do have any work/study options for this upcoming Retreat. I would really appreciate any help you can give. I think participating in the Retreat would be a great benefit as well as a great learning experience. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks so much.

I wish we could make the fast more affordable for our students by offering work study positions, but given the logistics, staff commitments and cost we can't offer that for this program. When students come, it provides them with an exceptional experience of how Eating for Health can be shared in a group retreat context. Our guests share in the making of the juices, broths and smoothies, so they can see how to do this at home. I hope you will be able to join us in the May or August program.

Hi...Thank you very much....I appreciate your quick response to my question about the Retreat.
After thinking about this quite a bit and getting your input and the information online, I've decided to commit to going to the Retreat in May. I look forward to a healing, informative, and life-enhancing experience. The timing is good as I am ready to make some changes in my life and this experience will support me in making those changes. Thanks again.
