Hello everyone, it's my first news post here as Assistant Director, and I'm very excited to be able to reach out to all of you and talk about some of the great things we're working on.

We have just concluded another successful Vitality Fasting Retreat and before you can say "cleansed" we're moving on to preparations for the commencement of our Fall term. More than a month away from the beginning of Fall classes and we are already seeing record numbers for enrollment!

It's a very exciting time for us and we're using this momentum and additional resources to provide ever-increasing levels of service to our whole community. Whether you're a current or enrolling student, a graduate, or just one of the millions who are looking for great alternative health resources, there has never been a better time to be involved with Bauman College.

There are now more ways than ever to connect and benefit from the tremendous wealth of knowledge and resources we offer. Here are just a few of the options to explore:

If you have a specific question and are just looking for some insightful discussion and advice, make a post in the open Nutrition Talk area of the forums here and you're bound to get some great input.

You can also find an ever-growing library of articles on a variety of health and nutrition topics, ranging from quick references like "Confused About Fats?", to extremely in-depth and timely pieces like Optimal Nutrition for Cancer Control.

As a Bauman College graduate or other health professional you will find our Nutrition Pro: Cooking For Recovery classes can be a great addition to your practice.

Meanwhile Dr. Bauman is hard at work on curriculum improvements and a new book, which we'll tell you more about in the near future. He and other members of our faculty also continue to offer outstanding free information through our public events, and for those who are not near any of our school locations, we now also offer regular "telelecture" conference calls. Find a full schedule and complete information for all our events by visiting our Community Events page.

We invite you to spend some time fully exploring our website as well as the rest of the forums here, and remember to visit regularly as we're always expanding the resources we make available to everyone.

We have a tremendous amount of other program, service, and product improvements and expansion coming in the near future and we can't wait to talk more about some of those things as they get closer to fruition. Keep an eye on this space!

I am also pleased to welcome a new staff member here at Bauman College Penngrove: Robert Couts, who joins us as our new Technical Coordinator. In only this first month of his employ he has already proven himself to be an outstanding contributor to our team through quick and effective execution on a number of important projects. I have no doubt that you will all be seeing the impact of his talents and knowledge in the future as we continue to improve our technology-driven resources, including our website, Distance Learning delivery systems, and more.

Finally, I'd like to extend a big welcome to our incoming students, congratulations to those who are already certifying from the previous term, and best wishes for health and well-being to all as we wrap up a great summer.

Thank you for the wonderful introduction.  I am a new Distance Learning Student.  I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful Program.  I can certainly tell from some of the posting there are some very intelligent people who are a part of this dynamic program.  I can't wait until I totally immersed in the activities so that I can benefit from the plethora of information that is so ripe for consumption!

Thank you Dr Bauman for doing what you do for so many people.  I feel honored to have the opportunity to sit at the table with you and your team!!!

Dear Oshyan,

Your reference to the article regarding optimal nutrition for cancer control was very interesting. Is there a book that I can purchase with this article or how can I get a printed version of this article.

Thank you for any information that you can share with me.

Hello Catharina, the article is provided in a PDF form which can be printed from your own computer. Once you open it with your PDF reader, just go to Print and you should be able to print it all yourself.

As far as I know this article is not yet included in any of our published work, but Dr. Bauman is working on a new cancer-related book which we will be publishing in 2009, so keep an eye out for that!
