Does anyone know of a suitable substitute for oyster sauce? I've yet to find a brand of oyster sauce that doesn't contain a bunch of sugar (in the form of HFCS) and other undesirable ingredients so I'm looking for something I can use as a substitute for recipes (mostly Asian) that call for oyster sauce.

Thanks in advance.

I've found fish sauce at an asian market here in Boulder that didn't have sugar added - just salt and anchovies...It doesn't taste exactly like oyster sauce but I use it often when I cook asian food.  Just a suggestion!
