My Natural Chef class visited the Far West Fungi in the Ferry Building with our teacher Karen Diggs Tuesday and were educated on the myriad of Fungi available in the form of mushrooms and truffles!  We sampled "Candy Cap" Ice Cream, which contains NO SUGAR, and tastes like it is sweetened with maple syrup.  The ice cream is made by www.humphryslocombe.com based in the Mission district of San Francisco.  This among other items we sampled during our visit inspired me to incorporate more mushrooms into my cooking!  Check it out!

And I thought I had met all the Fun-gis in the city already!  Cheesy
