Happy 2007!

At this point in the winter season, it is good to begin thinking about getting ready for Spring. With global warming, we could see warm weather and plants blossoming at any time, followed by intermittent changes in weather, winds and life events. Prepare for change. That is the only constant. Dig down into your soul and ask yourself what you are on earth to do, heal, grow, help others, support peace, care for those less fortunate or some combination of these. Look at ways you sell yourself short, give yourself less than you need or deserve and widen your horizons and deepen your intention to be well and strong. The various threats that swirl around us provides us with opportunities to take a stand for what is right. That includes leading a healthy, balanced, joyful life and bringing friends and family into alignment with positive values. I encourage you to stay in touch with the Bauman College Wellness community and to use the forum to share positive energy and information that will be useful for those who happen upon it. Diet wise, I suggest a greater accountability for three items: (1) drinking ample amounts of nourishing beverages, (2) eating a higher quality and greater amount of seasonal vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices and (3) adding more seeds, nuts and uncooked oil into your diet to provide essential fatty acids to keep you warm and hormonally in tune. Know that the care you take to be well will be a benefit and example to all you encounter in these changing times.
