My life path took me to Bauman College in the summer of 2003. I was recently divorced and was contemplating what to do with my life. Up until that time I had been a fitness expert and personal trainer for 25 years, so health and wellness were definitely my passion. I soon found myself at an orientation meeting in Berkeley. Ed Bauman spoke about Holistic nutrition and after hearing his message I knew this was where I needed to be. With no previous college education and a little bit of trepidation, I took out a loan and signed up for the Nutrition Educator and Nutrition Consultant programs. This was the best decision I have ever made. I made life long friends and sisters, was challenged mentally, emotionally and spiritually and have found my niche.

With only 3 months to go to graduation, I went to a discourse at Bauman given by JJ Virgin from Designs for Health. I was so impressed with her message and the integrity of the company I felt a strong desire to follow my intuition to become part of this amazing organization. I met JJ and gave her my card. She called me and asked what I wanted to do and where I wanted to live. I said ‘ I want to work with Doctors and I can live anywhere. She says” Come to LA and work for Designs for Health”. So with one month’s notice I packed up my car and moved to LA without knowing a single soul and with 3 more months of school to complete. I traveled back and forth, completed the remaining assignments and final presentation, while learning the business in LA. This proved to be an amazing opportunity to use all of the skills learned from Bauman College, from speaking, teaching, training and consulting. I had a wonderful, successful practice in Southern California for over three years.

Recently, I moved back to the San Francisco bay area where I am an account executive for Spectracell Laboratories, which specializes in intracellular testing that assesses nutrient deficiencies and advanced lipid profiles. I still have a private nutritional practice and serve as a supplement specialist and referring clinical nutritionist for more than 7 top medical doctors in Los Angeles.

I can say that the education I received from Bauman has equipped me to be the absolute best in the field. There are no nutritionists, Registered Dieticians, or other Health Care Providers out here that have as complete and such an excellent holistic approach to nutrition as myself or anyone who received such a superb education. I am so appreciative for this gift and it is my earnest desire to share this with everyone I come in contact with.
